ABOUT BULGARIA
Bulgaria is a small Garden of Eden, combining itself heavenly beauty of the impressive mountains with snowy peaks and the warm, crystal clear sea. Situated in the Balkan peninsula, at the doorway of Europe bordering Asia, Bulgaria is generously endowed with extremely diversity of scenery, mild, temperate climate with well-defined four seasons, rich variety of flora and fauna. The mountains of Rila, Pirin, The Old Mountains /Balkans/, the Rodopes are extremely beautiful and offer incredible conditions for winter and summer tourism.
Bulgarian ski resorts of Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets are gaining more popularity in Europe with the incredible conditions for winter sports with the typical Bulgarian cosiness of the hotels, restaurants, bars and all this together of the lowest prices in Europe. A particular interest in Rila mountain is the Seven Rila Lakes. These are amazingly beautiful alpine lakes formed in the Glacial period. Cultural and historical precious thing is Rila Monastery. Pirin national park is included on the UNESCO’s list of world natural and cultural heritage.
The most quickly developing ski resort in Bulgaria – Bansko is located there. A small mountain town, which hospitality offers small family hotels and taverns with typical Renaissance architecture from the 18 – 19 centuries together with new five-star hotels and spa centres. The most modern ski-lifts take the mountain-goers to 2,600 m above sea level. A vast variety of caves and water falls is characteristic of the Old Mountains. Iskar defile, Ledenika and Pine caves, Central Balkans national park are situated there. In the Rodopes the nature has chiseled interesting natural phenomena such as caves, defiles, rock pyramids, more famous of them are: the Three Town Gorge, the Devil’s Throat cave, the Yagodina cave, the Wonderful bridges.
The Black Sea coastline with its multi-kilometre beach strip and natural dunes of fine sand offers characteristic conditions for summer rest. Apart from the already established resorts of Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Dunes, the smaller seaside towns are also well-accepted by many tourists. Obzor, Nessebar, Pomorie, Sozopol, Primorsko, Kiten, Tsarevo and Ahtopol are very preferable summer tourists’ destinations. One of the biggest natural resources of Bulgaria is the healing mineral springs strewed across the territory of Bulgaria – over 600 natural springs, some of them in terms of their chemical composition are equal to the waters of the most famous world balneological resorts.
The combination of auspicious climate, mineral water and beautiful nature is the reason a huge number of people to seek the balneological resorts for their holiday as they combine their treatment with repose and rest. Quite well-known balneological resorts are: Velingrad, Narechen, Varshets, Sapareva Banya /bath/ (the hottest mineral water), Pomorie, Pavel Banya /bath/, Hisarya. On the background of all these advantages of Bulgaria, the property prices are still far from those of the European levels. Of course, the trend of the price movement is upwards as this process is not as rapid as it was 3 - 4 years ago. All experts believe this rise will continue to be not so steep, yet it will exist for quite a long time. That’s why we believe Bulgaria will be on the top lists of the most preferable destinations for tourism and rest as well as investment in properties.
